in 1517, martin luther wrote in a letter to archbishop albert of mainz: you must graciously forgive that i, that scum of the earth, am so bold as to dare to address a letter to you.. yes, i know, you think of me as scum, just like mainz believed of luther, wondering how i dare write you a letter, someone jehovahs witnesses disfellowshipped back in 2002. i was accused of being an unrepentant sinner and condemned for causing divisions, then labeled apostate because i spoke out publicly on nbcs dateline tv program aboutthe child sexual abuse policies that protected pedophiles policies that you helped formulate.
"I urge everyone to download the letter and the proof of delivery receipt and share them with other active and former Jehovah’s Witnesses. In fact, I urge you to write your own letters to the Watch Tower Society’s headquarters and demand clear answers to your questions."

Barbara, you have every damn right to speak, especially from a grandmother's point of view.... powerful!. My prayer is that the Almighty God himself blesses your efforts because you speak truth and you speak for tens of thousands of other grandparents. Girl, regardless what others might think or say-you did not waste your time writing this letter. I believe that persistence pays off, and that at first you don't succeed try.....please try again!

dr. denton cooley watchtower misadvertised .
today i added a new article to my blog showing how watchtower resorted to spin and misadvertisement of the work of the highly respected and acclaimed dr. denton cooley.
between the mid-1950s and into the 1990s dr. cooley was practically a legend among jehovahs witnesses, and for good reason.
WTBTS publications are loaded with disinformation and speculation. If its' not one its' the other.

What was a bit self-incriminating (if there is such a word) of the WT was the footnote to par 4:
*In the preface of his Bible, Webster wrote: “Whenever words are understood in a sense different from that which they had when introduced, and different from that of the original languages, they do not present to the reader the Word of God.”
Over the years the WTBTS has been so quilty of this very offense that Noah Webster describes. It is best said by the the apostle Paul @ 1Cor 4:6 "Do not go beyond the things that are written"

I also thought that the following statement sounded rather Watchtarded: Par 18... "As God’s 'master worker' in the creation of the physical universe, Jesus knew all about the earth’s magnetic field, which humans use to navigate the earth. (Prov. 8:30; John 1:3) However, there is no evidence in the Bible that Jesus ever used that force to guide his way when he was on earth"
So, should we today use the compass and similar devices or not. According to par 8, it would be foolhardy (reckless) not to use a compass cause it could guide us to safety in a time of need. Yet, Jesus chose not to use such devices in his day. WT statement in Par 18 causes me to wonder whether the magnetic field is a product of holy spirit or unholy spirit? As usual, WT raises more questions than it answers in its' Watchtarded publications!

i was reading pat buchanan's book, "suicide of a superpower".
on page 71, he speaks about the growing acceptance of homosexuality amidst religions.
he claims that 12% of jw's think gay behavior is ok.. really?
I would say that 12% isn't too far off the mark and more than likely higher, closer to 20% and more is my guess. My motto is live and let live and I'm very much straght and an active JW with my share of privileges within the Pharisaic Org! And I know good and well that I'm not alone in acceptance of the gay lifestyle. An active JW just doesn't go around talking about his acceptance of these beautiful people..... if one knows whats' good for him?

Its’ interesting how the WTBTS downplays the immoral lifestyle of both David and Solomon in this article. For example in paragraph 2 they describe David as “a humble shepherd and a powerful King……guilty of serious wrongs, such as those involving Bathsheba, Uriah, and an ill-advised census”. The guy committed adultery where-in he fathered a child, then tried to cover it up and when that failed he conspired and succeeded in having Bathsheba’s husband (Uriah) killed.
Now, I’m no Bible Scholar however I have read the Bible from cover to cover my share of times. And when the name David comes up the very first thing that comes to mind is his immoral life style, how he stole another man’s wife and how he cowardly snuffed out poor old Uriah’s life. I don’t need anyone to tell me over and over again about anything good David may have done in his life. The amount of harm he committed during his life outweighs whatever good he did. The man is a louse! Why does the WTBTS continue to hold this skirt chaser in such high regard. O.K. so what if God used him. What is the WT’s hang-up with David?
And then there is Don Juan Apostate Solomon………!
If I were the Great Teacher I would grade this article and give it a big fat F !

As I sat at meeting listening to the discussion of this article-I couldn't help but think to myself several times over....."what were you (WTBTS) thinking when you put this article together......what were you thinking?"
The lesson I learned and will never forget is as Blondie says...."There is hope then for all “apostates” today in the account of Solomon."

I've known many a hard nosed C.O. lecture and threaten the servant body on need to maintain at least the national average of monthly hours and need to maintain high visibility in field ministry or heads would roll at next visit. I remember always thinking to myself.... go to hell you S O B! Many a C.O. and D.O. are clueless as to the pressure on modern day heads of household!

The WTBTS knows good and well that blood transfusions are not directly commented on by the Bible and they are desperate . That explains why the January 2012 KM article on page 3 entitled "Are You Prepared for a Medical Emergency?" only cites 2 scriptures (James 4:14 and Proverbs 22:3) that are totally unrelated to the topic of "blood transfusions". The use of those 2 scriptures to support their unscriptural and man-made no-blood doctrine was the best that they could do! What blockhead knuchleheads!
